Conference USA is college football’s most resilient conference. The Stadium Story: Delaware Stadium sits on the University of Delaware campus in Newark — a college town 30 miles south of Philadelphia and 30 miles southwest of Wilmington. Delaware completed its transition from FCS to FBS in 2025, joining Conference USA after years as one of the most decorated programs in FCS history — 17 FCS national championship game appearances and two national titles (1979 and 2003). The Stadium Story: L.T. Smith Stadium sits on top of a hill — literally called “The Hill” — giving it one of the most distinctive settings in Conference USA. The stadium is named for L.T. Smith, a prominent WKU supporter, and the Hilltoppers’ nickname comes directly from the elevated campus that sits 232 feet above Bowling Green on a limestone hill. WKU won back-to-back CUSA championships in 2015 and 2016 and has been one of the conference’s most consistent programs. Bowling Green is also home to the National Corvette Museum and Corvette assembly plant — the only Corvette manufacturing facility in the world, where the iconic American sports car has been built since 1981.
